I was born and raised in the City of Saint John, New Brunswick and am truly an Atlantic Canadian at heart.
I enjoy an environment that is energized with possibility and I am at peak performance when I am learning or experiencing new things.
My promise to clients is that I bring my best game to the table each and every time because that is what clients have come to expect at John Mallory Fitness.
John Mallory and Fitness
Fitness has been a large part of my life for as long as I can remember. It began with Judo.
In my youth, I simply happened upon Judo because my siblings were involved in a local club. It was a lot of fun at the time and it stirred a competitive side of me that, in part, brought me to where I am today.
What I did not openly realize was the philosophical and cultural side of the sport of Judo and how it affected my life’s ambitions and focus. Fitness is a journey that changes you for life.
I consider myself a lucky man in my career choices. The discipline of fitness and Judo enhanced my ability to focus on a solid career path while maintaining a balance of health and personal well being.
People ask me why I do what I do and the answer surprises most folks as my story unfolds.
My career as a professional diver was cut short because of an unfortunate incident which left me deaf in one ear. Returning to a class room was a difficult task but necessary to begin a new profession. I am proud to say I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. While a significant accomplishment in itself, it was not my passion. After much soul searching, I decided to focus on my dream of fitness and Judo, and here I am today.
I’m a certified personal trainer with a beautiful, custom designed studio with custom designed programs and client service delivery. My clients are important to me; their goals are my goals. I love to learn and strive to be the best I can be in my discipline of fitness.
Sincerely … JM
